My relationships with my family in particular are important to me. When a log truck killed my brother, we all upheld one another and worked out our grief together. My church community also supports me. Also, your comment about a pet being comforting is true too. When my then 5 year old heard the news of his uncle, he didn't have anyone to talk to. Bless his heart, we overheard him explaining what happened to our cat! Since that time, I've written some songs including one called, "The People We Love" in which the chorus emphasizes, "the people we love never leave us, like a gem that is set in our soul, it sparkles whenever we think of their name, the people we love make life whole."
